Congratulates her on getting a job and asks about Bill's health , "It's not the fame but the money. You have too much of one and not enough of the other…Watch yourself with that Hopkins dame. Undestand she is the prime bitch of all time…Why doesn't [Bill] get in touch with that Hindoo friend of his who has invented the remote bowel control system?…"
Talks about mutual friends and their activities, "Feder is more insane and louder than he's ever been. He is lighting St. Patrick's Cathedral and its not to be believed the amount of confusion he stirs up…" Then a long paragraph about Alex who "has aged quite a bit and is getting to look like a dish of ice cream. Every half hour or so he takes out a hypodermic needle filled with Ginergin, pulls up his sleeve or down his pants, and in full view of his assembled audience squirts it into his blood stream…."
