Large 4to, 1/2 gilt-lettered white linen over embossed brown boards, scattered spots of foxing to the backstrip; starting slightly at the half-title title page, but otherwise internally very clean and bright; top edge gilt. The scarce deluxe edition of Ulmann's exquisitely illustrated book. Few copies of this edition had been distributed at the time of Ulmann's death in 1934. Most were donated by her heirs to the Tuskegee Institute, and were sold for the school's benefit.
