number 130 of 300 copies with a long, warm inscription signed by urtecho to melina mercuri [sic]. While the inscription is not dated, the book was published in the year she became the first female Minister for Culture of Greece and is addressed to her with that title. Hailing from a long line of Greek politicians, she continued this role along with her highly accomplished acting and singing career, starring in such films as Never on Sunday, Topkapi, and Phaedra. Among her many political and cultural achievements was her advocacy for the return of the Elgin marbles to Athens.
