The Statue of Liberty is holding her yellow torch high into the sky which fades from dark blue to yellow; lettering in white and orange. This poster, which Meehan cites as a "modern interpretation of the classic WWI Treidler image of the Statue of Liberty" (Meehan cat. 17, no. 368) follows the example of several propaganda posters from the First World War which were printed in various European languages to appeal to the different immigrant groups which had come to America. One of the few World War II posters created for a Yiddish market, other variations are known to exist in Polish and Hungarian.
