Additional Details

Neil Armstrong completed steps listed on ACT-52 which has the Verb and Noun computer instructions to run the RSC hot firings. The RCS was a group of 16 thrust chamber assemblies arranged in clusters of 4 engines equally spaced around the Ascent Stage of the LM. This system provided stabilization during the main descent and ascent engine burns plus attitude and translation control. The lunar landing could have been scrubbed if this check out procedure failed during the flight.
