Valentin Vidauretta is mostly known for his sterling silver jewelry designs. He started his career as a painter and turned to jewelry design in the early 1930s. His illustrations were commissioned for the covers of Mexican Life magazine, as well as for the book Fiesta in Mexico by Erna Fergusson. He did a mural painting for the Mexican Village exhibition at the Century of Progress Worlds Fair in Chicago in 1933 and a mural for the Papillon Club in Mexico City. He exhibited his paintings at Delphic Studios with such artists as Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, José Orozco, and Carlos Merida.Np, nd
