An exceptional compendium presented in scrapbook form, although printed in many copies, of the "most beautiful issues of [the French theatre magazine] Comoedia Illustré and the programs devoted to the Ballets and Galas Russes since its debut in Paris." Lavishly and profusely illustrated in color and black-and-white, with costume and set designs by Leon Bakst, photographs, and two aquarelles by Picasso. The original magazines are both bound-in and tipped-in.
