Founded in 1905 by Hans Sachs (a dentist in Berlin), the Verein der Plakat Freunde (Association of Friends of the Poster) began publishing Das Plakat (The Poster) in 1910. The publication ran through 1922, and each issue is a gold mine of information (albeit in German), with many color reproductions and tipped-in illustrations. This group contains works by Otto Baumberger, Paul Scheurich, Kampmann and others. Profusely illustrated in black-and-white with attractive color plates and tip-ins scattered throughout.
