"A Monthly Magazine for Promoting Art in Advertising," Gebrauchsgraphik was founded in 1924 by H. K. Frenzel, who edited the magazine until his death in 1937. Truly international, and with no political agenda, the magazine, printed in German, French and English, dealt with the best advertising art around the world. Profusely illustrated with both black and white and color plates, the magazine covers product packaging, posters, logos, fashion design and much more. More than just a visual reference, the magazine has well written articles on Cassandre, Loupot, Nizzoli and Klinger, and articles on a variety of general poster subjects such as British Railway posters, Swiss Posters, etc.
