VARIOUS ARTISTS SCENA ILLUSTRATA. 1902. 24 issues bound in one volume. 15 7/8x11 3/4 inches. Ditta Nebiolo, Turin. Condition B+: foxing, creases and time-staining throughout volume. A full year of the bi-monthly magazine dedicated to "literature, art and sports." Each issue has a beautifully rendered Italian Liberty-style cover, designed by either Giuseppe Anichini or Ottorino Andreini. The contents include stories, illustrations, articles and advertisements. Each page is elegantly embellished with Liberty-style decorative motifs. Although there are twenty four separate issues, the magazine seems to have had a policy about repeating covers, as among the twenty four covers there are only 8 different images. The magazine was able to do this by not printing dates on the cover.
