A pair of hand-painted 19th-century photographs relating to equestrianism.

Comprising an overpainted albumen print cut-out of an equestrienne on a black horse by Chas. K. Bill, New York, and a richly overpainted silver print of a gentleman in a derby on a white horse. Oversized albumen and silver prints, 14 1/4x18 1/4 and 10x13 1/4 inches (36.2x46.4 and 25.4x33.7 cm.), the first with Bill's signature on recto, and the second is mounted to linen; both are in period frames. Circa 1870; circa 1898
