VICTORY IN SIGHT / EYE POWER BUILDS FIRE POWER. 1942.
22x17 inches.
Condition A.
A combination of inspiring propaganda and work safety poster featuring a factory worker (with a Victory Liberty Loan pin his hat) looking upward from the factory floor towards a victorious future. The lenses of his glasses are filled with the fruits of the labors of factory workers across America; tanks and ships. Maurer reused the graphic idea of putting images into people's glasses when he designed a poster promoting travel to Atlantic City for the Pennsylvania Railroad (see Swann 100 Rare and Important Travel Posters, sale 1841, lot 60)
