In this take on the iconic biblical image of betrayal, Magneto sits in Christ's chair, surrounded by nine supervillain disciples: Loki, Dr. Doom, Joker, Cat Woman, Venom, Galactus, Kingpin, and Phoenix. This work, which was art directed by Dragos Lemnei with Tim Leong as Creative Director, was among The Top Ten Entertainment Weekly Illustrations of 2016.
McIndoe is an award-winning artist and illustrator currently based in South Korea. His work has been featured in numerous publications including Time, Penguin Publishing, Marvel Studios/Disney, The London Times, and advertising campaigns for Honda, Nike, and Starbucks to name but a few. Canadian by birth, he was also honored with a commission by the federal government of Canada to create numerous philatelic designs.
