With the laconic ease and grace of a Karl Von Gloeden photograph, two boys are enjoying a warm summer's day, lounging on a wooden ship that has been pulled up onto the beach, admiring a passing liner on its way to distant, exotic locales. Pictured is probably the Carmania<> or her sister ship Caronia<>, both built in 1905.
