Ting's (1929-2010) interpretation of Vincent Van Gogh's (1853-1890) oil on canvas Flowering Plum Orchard (after Hiroshige), 1887, now in the collection of the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam (object number s0115V1962), which in turn Van Gogh has based on a color woodcut, Plum Garden in Kameido by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858).
