Production Courvoisier production cel of Doc from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which premiered December 21st, 1937 at the Carthay Circle Theatre in Los Angeles.
The original Courvoisier Galleries preparation for the cel remains intact, with the cel presented over a wood veneer background bearing Doc's name and the original certificate of authenticity on the back.
The matching frame appears at the 37 min 54 sec mark, when the Dwarfs first meet Snow White, and a flustered, stammering Doc tries to welcome Snow White into the Dwarfs' home– against the very vocal objections of Grumpy. In this shot Doc reacts to Grumpy's chiding remark: "Quit standing there sputtering like a doodlebug!" An expressive pose that nicely captures Doc's personality.
