WALTER GRAMATTÉ
Frau.

Set of 5 etchings (1 printed in colors), 1924. Each approximately 318x270 mm; 121/2x105/8 inches, full margins. Each signed and dated in pencil, lower right. Under the direction of Hadern Verlag, Potsdam, the edition never materialized. Very good impressions of these scarce prints.

After his discharge from the army in 1918, Gramatté resided in Berlin and worked among fellow German Expressionists Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff. He died in 1929 at the age of 32. Gramatté's works were declared degenerate in 1933 by the Nazi regime and were not shown again until after World War II. Eckhardt 177-181.
