Walter Käch, born in Ottenbach, began his artistic career as an apprentice in lithography and graphic design, studying under several accomplished Swiss artists. Working with Fritz Helmut Ehmcke at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Munich, Käch became familiar with typographic and book arts, and began working in 1929 as a freelance graphic artist and typographer. He became known in Switzerland for his early forays into photomontage and active participation in the Bauhaus. This poster by Käch advertises the Exhibition of the 4th International Congress of Radiologists in Zürich, held at the Kunstgewerbemuseum. He skillfully illustrates the hand's skeletal structure and demonstrates the process of radiation in this geometric composition, melding aesthetics with scientific innovation. The Hand 100.
