WALTER SCHNACKENBERG ODEON CASINO. Two plates. 1920. Each approximately 11 1/2x8 1/2 inches. Condition varies, generally A: glued to mount. These two plates come from the book published in 1920 by Musarion Press in Munich reproducing most of Schnackenberg's posters and some of his other work for the theater. Unlike ordinary reproductions they are more in keeping with the Maitre des l'Affiche images, in that they were pulled by Oskar Consee, Schnackenberg's exclusive printer, and were surely done under the artist's supervision, with superb, rich inking on high quality paper.
