Founded in 1845, Lamport & Holt was primarily a cargo line that at one time was the largest conveyor of coffee from Brazil to America as well as a pioneer in the frozen meat trade. The Voltaire and the Vandyck were put into service in the early 1920s and were regularly used for cruises from Liverpool and Southampton to the seven destinations illustrated in vignettes on this poster.
