Condition B+: restored losses, discoloration and repaired tears in margins; pinholes in corners; vertical and horizontal folds. Thomas depicts one of three sister ships that were part of the Cunard Line's Liverpool-Queenstown-New York and Boston services, either the Laconia, the Samaria or the Scythia. Pictured in massive half-profile as she is either being brought into port or out of the harbor, the ship appears to bridge the distance between sea and sky.
