Glazed terracotta, 1973. Approximately 184 mm; 7 1/4 inches (diameter). Signed, titled, dated and inscribed "To Edith" in pencil, on the paper backing verso.
Provenance: acquired directly from the artist; private collection, Denmark.
This is only the second terracotta work by the artist that we have located. The artist's studio in Denmark was completely destroyed by fire in 1980 - other such personal or unusual pieces may have been lost along with the many paintings, papers and prints.
