Provenance: acquired directly from the artist; private collection, Denmark.
This is the only terracotta work by the artist that we have located. The artist's studio in Denmark was completely destroyed by fire in 1980 - other such personal or unusual pieces may have been lost along with the many paintings, papers and prints.
