An impressive British printing of Washington's famous 1796 Farewell Address. The stipple portrait engraving was repurposed from a separately issued 1800 print by William Evans after Joseph Wright. A worn and dampstained copy is held by the Library of Congress; OCLC lists only a 1971 reprint, and we trace none at auction. Hart 161b; Sabin 101597.
