WAYNE ANDERSON (1946-)
"Through the keyhole." Book jacket illustration (wrap around) for a limited edition of Who Censored Roger Rabbit? by Gary K. Wolf (Colorado: Centipede Press, 2015). Mixed media, with gouache, watercolor, and graphite. 13 1/4 x 9 1/4 inches. Signed and dated on verso. Title from inscription on verso.

Gary K. Wolf published the cult classic, Who Censored Roger Rabbit? in 1981. This hard-boiled detective spoof was later adapted by Walt Disney and Steven Spielberg into the critically acclaimed 1988 film, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, although the plot and many other elements of the film depart significantly from Wolf's novel.

The special edition included a new introduction by Wolf and original illustrations by Wayne Anderson. The artwork depicts the characters as Wolf first conceived and described. This version was published in a limited edition of 300 copies, each of which were signed by both Wolf and Anderson.
