A crude but charming bust portrait of Washington, with the caption around the image: "Behold 'tis he! Columbia's Pride, And Nature's boast - her fav'rite Son - Of Value - Wisdom - Truth - well try'd - Hail matcheless Washington!" A somewhat similar image of Washington appeared in Weatherwise's Town & Country Almanack for 1781 and was possibly engraved by Paul Revere. Evans 23043; Drake 3455.
