Lots 250 to 253, from the photographer to Isadore Berger (1903-1999); by descent to the current owner.
Berger was an amateur photographer who traveled the world twice, taking thousands of photographs. He was a life fellow of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain and the Photographic Society of America as well as President of the Detroit Camera Club. He met Weegee in the late 1940s and they quickly became friends. Weegee visited Berger in Detroit several times and worked in his studio and darkroom.
