Additional Details

The portfolio consists of 26 letters, 10 numbers and 8 punctuation marks all of which employ Wegman's dogs in Busby Berkeley-like configurations.

Wegman's Weimaraners Fay Ray, Battina, Crooky and Chundo, frequent models for Wegman's photographs, display each digit in the English alphabet. Their natural lackadaisical state combines with athletic contortionism to provide a unique image on each page, which ultimately provides the necessary tools to formulate any sentence. Against a sparse white backdrop, the chocolate-colored dogs leap off the page, the contrast between animal and ground heightened by their unnatural manipulations.
