Pursell designed several posters for the Chicago World's Fair, this one of the Hall of Science and the following lot (of the Federal Building) are the two most famous. The other depicting the Federal Hall. The bright colors in Pursell's design may well have been representative of the neon lights that lit up the fairgrounds at night.
