Amy Conger, photo-historian and Weston expert, has characterized this print as "unusually enigmatic [...] and avant-garde for Weston, who chose this study as a Print-of-the-Month-Club selection."

This image was featured in Weston's Museum of Modern Art exhibition in New York, in 1975. Other prints are in the collections of Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Nelson-Adkins Museum, Kansas City; and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
