Silver print, the image measuring 3¾x3⅝ inches (9.5x9.2 cm.), the mount 9x7 inches (23x17.8 cm.), with Heick's signature in pencil and Ansel Adams' signature (from 1976) in ink, on mount recto, and a long inscription and date (1948) in pencil by Lawrence Champagne, a student of Adams at the California School of Fine Arts, on mount verso.
