Hanging Up the Frame<>.

Pencil on light weight tracing paper, 1975. 350x254 mm; 14x10 inches. Signed, dated and inscribed "Working drawing Hanging Up the Frame (Suite of Daze)" in pencil, lower margin. With an impression of the unfinished print, verso.

Wiley pulled an impression of the etching on one side of translucent tracing paper and made additions or changes on the reverse. Alternately studying the front and working on the back of the sheet, he was able to envision how the image would appear once it had reversed on the press.
