Madison Square Garden held America's first Aeronautic Exhibition in 1909, but after the First World War the appeal of air shows had diminished to the point where very few details remain. What is known is that the Wright Brother's flyer was on display and that, for the very first time, a pilot made a broadcast to the assembled crowds below via a radio transmitter in his cockpit.
