The photographs were donated to the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, New York, a non-profit organization. Proceeds from the sale of this lot will support its programs.
The photographs were primarily taken in California (Venice, Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica), but also include an image from New York City (1968, Winogrand: Figments from the Real World, 83), one from Houston, Texas, and a third from Hutchinson, Kansas.
