Having executed a maneouver which carved an elegant, sweeping "s" into the snow, a woman in red and blue is waving at unseen companions; against a white and wintery blue mountain background. An almost cinematic snap-shot in which the main figure is captured in a manner that graphically hints at action outside of the frame. A very similar conceit to Hohlwein's 1936 Olympic poster, see lot 320. Voyage p. 119.
