Watt's interdisciplinary inspiration springs from her Seneca Nation Turtle Clan and German-Scottish heritage. The spirit of the Iroquois Nation's matrilineal culture and community policy structure that requires consent of men and women (Haudenosaunee protofeminism) also inform her work.
