One of Weyer's most important contributions to modern psychiatry is this work, On the Tricks of Demons. He argues against the existence of witchcraft itself, proposing instead that irrational human behavior is attributable to mental illness, and not demonic possession. He also writes about people who style themselves as magicians, accusing them of outright fakery.
