A verbo-visual diary by Young, the self-taught African-American artist best known for his expressive collages and paintings that often illustrated the harrowing experience of living in the poverty stricken Overtown neighborhood of Miami, Florida. He encorporated found objects, including scrap metal, book pages, and discarded envelops into his work.
