This oversize Karsh portrait of the Catalan artist Joan Miro is in excellent condition. The image measures 19 1/2x15 3/4 inches (49.5x40 cm.) and the original archival mount 28x22 inches (71.1x58.9 cm.).

The photograph has the black inky tones and rich highlights one expects from a Karsh print. The subject is beautifully lit, with remarkable details in Miro's face, hands, hat and jacket.

Mount recto is clean throughout, with Karsh's signature, in ink, at the far left (below the picture). Mount verso is also bright, with his copyright hand stamp, and date, in pencil.
