On December 6, 1914, the revolutionary forces of Emiliano Zapata and Pancho Villa occupied Mexico City. Three days later, Zapata and his forces left Mexico City and marched to Puebla City, capturing it six days later. The victory at Puebla City was among Zapata's most successful military engagements of the entire Mexican Revolution.
