A previously unrecorded Italian image of the mighty Matterhorn. The pronounced peak straddles the Swiss and Italian borders, but it is mostly the Swiss who have commemorated the mountain via lithography (see lot XXX). This dramatic night image, beneath the starry sky, in sheer size, is likely the largest poster of the mountain ever produced.
