ZOOLOGISCHER GARTEN. 1910. 261/2x181/2 inches. Hollerbaum & Schmidt, Berlin. Condition A-: minor creases and discoloration in margins. For this poster Klinger does not employ his trademark, caricature style of illustration, but rather shows his abilities as an excellent, classical draughtsman. A bright, exotic, detailed pink flamingo fills up most of the image, looming large over a precise architectural rendering of the buildings of the zoo (still in existence today); the typography is neatly arrayed across the bottom of the poster. Klinger also designed a poster for the aquarium of the Berlin Zoo. Klinger p. 56 no. 70, DFP-III 1705.
