An historic depiction of the Royal Castle in Krakow featuring a procession with "Stefan Bathory (1533-1586), Prince of Transylvania, [who] was elected to the Polish Throne in 1576. He was a great administrator and successful warrior, who forestalled the conquest of eastern Lithuania by Muscovy" (Polish Poster p. 56). Kaminski was an architect, painter, illustrator and professor. He was also an accomplished poster designer, and his graphic designs appeared in several international exhibitions, including in Paris and Prague.
