Zippo Recovery Lighter. A Zippo brand standard size lighter in its original presentation box, with enclosed instruction and advertising supplement. Embossed with a design of the recovery aircraft carrier, helicopter, and a Mercury capsule floating in the ocean. Embossed text reads: "Walter M. Schirra, Jr., L. Gordon Cooper recovered by USS Kearsarge CVS-33, Oct 3, 1962 May 16, 1963. The upper section of the lighter has been engraved with "GORDO". Accompanied by a Typed Letter Signed from Cooper describing the lighter.
