ROGER BRODERS (1883-1953) BEAUSOLEIL. Circa 1928.
      39 1/2x24 1/4 inches, 100x61 1/2 cm. Lucien Serre, Paris.
      Condition A.
"The contrast between the reds, ocres and yellows used to depict Beausoleil and the blacks, gray and deep sea blue of the rest of the poster serves to glorify the city" (Azur p. 156-57). This is the most creative typography seen in one of Broders' posters; an unusually flamboyant style that he never repeats. Broders p. 95, Perry / Broders p. 34, Riviera 100, Azur 189.
