Together, 2 midwestern construction albums with a total of 71 photographs depicting activities associated with the contracting firm of Alling Construction Co., Cincinnati. The first with 32 monochromatic photographs of an enormous city-block-wide building project, including street scenes and interiors with heavy machinery; the second with 39 black-and-white photographs of sites, labor crews, and period signage. Printing-out paper (32) and silver (39) prints, the images measuring 7 1/2x9 inches (19x22.9 cm.), linen backed, the first with a credit, date, and caption in the negative and the second with a date and inventory number in the negative. Oblong 4tos, brown leatherette with gilt-stamped titles, soiled; the second is disbound. 1908
