In 1968 Shahn had an edition printed of 100 photo off-set copies of this wood engraving which Stefan Martin had done from his portrait of Martin Luther King Jr. These copies were used by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in a fund raising campaign. (Prescott, Complete Works, figure 216.)
