From the Hollywood Jazz: 1945-1972 mural at Capitol Records which was designed and painted by Richard Wyatt. The project was originally funded by the Los Angeles Endowment for the Arts and sponsored by the Los Angeles Jazz Society. The Jazz Society hired Wyatt to design it, based on their idea for a mural depicting jazz greats and the Hollywood venues they called home. Within the mural, Wyatt depicts jazz legends Chet Baker, Gerry Mulligan, Charlie Parker, Tito Puente, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Shelly Manne, Dizzy Gillespie, Billy Holiday, Duke Ellington, and of course Nat 'King' Cole.
