DESIGNER UNKNOWN WHITE STAR LINE / [OLYMPIC.] Circa 1920s.
40x25 inches, 101 1/2x63 1/2 cm. The Liverpool Printing & Stationery Company, Limited, Liverpool.
Condition A.
The White Star Line's Olympic Class vessels, the sister ships Olympic, Titanic and Britannic, were the line's only 4-funnel ships. Of the three, only the Olympic had prolonged service, as the Titanic sank on its maiden voyage and the Britannic, which was only launched shortly before World War I, sank after hitting a mine in 1916. Although the Olympic is pictured here, the text encompasses different routes that various ships in the White Star Line fleet would take. This poster exists with several different text variations listing the different departure and arrival ports. Weallans p. 52 (var).
