Signed, inscribed "AP/3" and dedicated "To Mrs. Duncan" in ink, lower margin. Printed by Mohammed Khalil at Robert Blackburn's Printmaking Workshop, New York. A very good impression with vibrant colors.
Tropical Flowers was Bearden's first etching at the Printmaking Workshop, and was produced as a fundraiser for the the Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center, New York. Corlett p. 13; Gelburd/Rosenberg GG#79.
